Good news | Laos Kaiyuan Renjiang new energy project starts construction

On October 25, Laos Kaiyuan Circular Economy Industrial Park ushered in an important milestone – the groundbreaking ceremony of the Renjiang New Energy Project, a joint venture between Jiangxi Renjiang Technology Co., Ltd. and Laos Kaiyuan Mining Co., Ltd., was held grandly. Han Huiru, Chairman of Laos Kaiyuan Mining Co., Ltd., Wang Dequan, General Manager, and relevant leaders of Jiangxi Renjiang Technology attended the ceremony. The start of construction marks a key step for the industrial park in the field of energy supporting upgrades and green recycling development, injecting new momentum into the coordinated development of regional economy and ecology.

As the core energy supporting project of the Laos Kaiyuan Circular Economy Industrial Park, the Renjiang New Energy Project has a planned installed capacity of 50 megawatts and is expected to be connected to the grid for power generation in January 2026. After the project is put into operation, the average annual power generation will reach 60 million kilowatt-hours. Through the “self-consumption and surplus power grid” model, it can provide stable green power for park production, save about 20,000 tons of standard coal annually, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 50,000 tons, which is equivalent to the ecological carbon sequestration of 2.7 million new trees. At the same time, the project will significantly reduce the cost of external power purchase in the park and create sustainable income through the sale of surplus electricity. During the operation phase, it will also provide multiple technical positions for the local area to help cultivate local new energy talents and create regional employment.

The implementation of the Renjiang New Energy Project is not only an important practice for Jiangxi Renjiang Science and Technology to deepen international production capacity cooperation, but also a model of collaborative innovation between China and Laos in the field of new energy. Through the dual drive of environmental protection benefits and economic benefits, the project not only provides technical support for the industrial park to implement the concept of circular development, but also contributes to local ecological environment protection and energy structure transformation in Laos. In the future, Jiangxi Renjiang Technology will continue to promote the application of green energy with technological innovation, work with partners to build a low-carbon and sustainable industrial ecosystem, and inject more green energy into the high-quality development of countries along the âBelt and Roadâ?
